Every language in the fonds
German, English, Italian, Dutch and others: each page is transcribed in its own language, then translated into yours.
The context of neighbours
Translation draws on the pages before and after, mending a sentence broken by a page turn.
The original always there
The transcription stays displayed next to the translation: nothing of the letter as written is lost.

Does translation take neighbouring pages into account?
Yes: the context of the pages before and after mends a sentence cut by a page break, and a glossary specific to the fonds is injected on every call.
Is a page already in your language translated?
No: a page written in the chosen target language isn’t sent for translation, and costs nothing for that step.
What if the letter is handwritten?
It goes through an extra-strength reread before translation, for cursive writing in the common European languages and the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek alphabets.
What does translation cost?
It costs one credit more per page, i.e. 3 credits for a translated page against 2 for a transcribed page: Essential at €39.99 incl. VAT a year gives 1,666 translated pages, Standard at €69.99 incl. VAT 3,333, Expert at €99.99 incl. VAT 6,666 — the pricing page has the detail.
